addDecor (walkthru)

Step 1

When you first start addDecor you will be presented with an empty Projects list (see figure 1).

Step 2

First lets create a project by adding a house to the list.

Click the button to add a new location.

Lets create a project called ‘New House’. After you are complete your screen should look like this (see figure 2).

Tips:

There are two additional buttons on the home screen:

This is the camera button to take a picture at any time. All pictures taken in this menu will be stored in the DecorPhotos for future use.

This is the shortcut to view all the photos taken using the camera button on the home page.

Step 3

Now that we have created a new project we can start to add rooms to our project. Click on the project name that we just created, ‘New House’, to go to the project room list screen (see figure 3).

Now lets add some rooms to the project. Click the “Edit” button to add a room.

Tips: There are two additional buttons here:

This allows you to email all the items in a particular project to anyone you wish. It will include all the items details, pricing and even photos of the items. As well it will total the price for the entire project from the pricing info entered for each item.

This is the shortcut to view all the photos taken using the camera button on the home page.

Step 4

Now that you are on the add room menu, to add a room select the room name from the ‘Room List’ and click

Let’s add the Living Room to the project. Select ‘Living Room’ from the Room List and Click ‘Add Room to Project’. You should have a living room in your projects Room List.

Tips:

If you want to add a room to the Room List type the room name in the window and click the ‘Add Room To List’ button. It will then be added to the master room list.

To delete a room from the Room List select the room and click the ‘Delete Room From List’ button.

Step 5

Now that we have added our rooms let’s start to add items to the room. Click on the room name, Living Room, to enter that room’s Items List. Now click the photo button to take a picture:

Once you take a photo you will preview it and can adjust the size and zoom factor for the photo. Once you are happy with the photo click ‘use’ button and enter a name for the photo.

Tips:

This button allows you to add existing photos from your picture library to a room.

This button allows you to add items in your DecorPhoto list to a room. You will be able to move them to the selected room (this would remove them form the DecorPhoto list) or copy them to a selected room (this would keep a copy in the DecorPhoto list).

This button allows you to email all the items in a particular room along with all the related info, pricing and photos.

Step 6

For this demo we have taken 2 photos, ‘picture’ and ‘server’. When you click on the picture you have taken you can add specific information about each item. First you will see that it has calculated and displayed the average color for the photo. You can also touch any part of the photo to get a spot color:

Tips:

Allows you to email the individual item along with all the related pricing and notes. You can also copy the item to another project or room.

Allows you to view and edit the pricing and notes for and individual item as well as view the location details.

This button saves all the info for the item.

Step 7

Now lets add additional pricing and notes to the photos we have just taken. Click the “View Info” button to edit the photo info.

First you can edit the name of the item, in this case we have a photo of a ‘Picture’. It also displays the Project, Room, and category that this photo is stored in.

The next two are the ‘Average Color’ and the ‘Selected Color’.

Next you can edit the Price, Area/Distance and add Notes. I have added the price of $20.00 and a note about the store hours.

You can also edit the category that the photo is filed under. As a default the photos are filed under a ‘General’ category.

As well once you take a picture it will also log the location that the photo was taken and provide a map for your reference. At any time you can ‘Launch Google Maps’ to find directions back to the store or location where you took the photo.

About Categories


Now lets explore categories a bit more. You can add categories to an individual room from the Items list in the room:

Or you can add a category to ALL the rooms in a project from the room menu:

For this demo we have added the category ‘Furniture’ and assigned the ‘Server’ to that category:
This feature allows you to categorize and file photos in different categories. Then you can view all items in one project for a specific category, for example we can view all the furniture in a specific room or throughout the whole project. You can also email all the items in one particular category.
